Mission Statement

The mission of AVT is to deliver the same first rate vascular care in this region that is found at top medical institutions, using advanced technology in a pleasant setting that meets patient expectations for customer satisfaction and clinical outcomes.

Our History

Advanced Vascular Therapy, LLC was founded by Dr. Glen Roseborough who came to Salem in 2009 after spending 15 years at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, first training in the general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship, then practicing vascular surgery for 9 years as a member of the academic surgical faculty.  His years there taught him that what makes Hopkins and other top medical institutions great is total dedication to patient care and clinical excellence on the part of its medical faculty and support staff.

Our Team

Vascular surgeons treat a wide array of clinical problems affecting the circulation, which consists of arteries and veins. Arteries carry blood from the heart to the organs, and blood returns to the heart via the veins. We perform a variety of noninvasive diagnostic procedures to assess the circulation, and when necessary perform a variety of minimally invasive, catheter based procedures, as well as time-honored, proven surgical procedures when indicated to improve circulatory problems. Although some other specialists such as cardiologists, interventional radiologists and general surgeons may offer some of the treatments that we perform, vascular surgeons are the only specialists who are entirely dedicated to treating the entire spectrum of conditions affecting the peripheral arteries and veins. We are the only specialists who are formally educated in treating arteries and veins, and the only specialists who can comprehensively treat these conditions with the full range of treatment options available to you. Therefore, we are uniquely positioned to give you the ideal and most appropriate treatment.

At Advanced Vascular Therapy, LLC we use state of the art equipment to diagnose and treat vascular conditions. We have two dedicated diagnostic labs run by three specially trained and certified vascular technologists who use sophisticated ultrasound machines and other noninvasive equipment to find and monitor problems in the arteries and veins. We are the first vascular surgery practice in Oregon to offer catheter based interventions on the peripheral arteries in the office. These interventions are performed in a state of the art catheterization lab that is on site with convenient parking and a pleasant waiting area for families. The procedures are performed with sedation under the supervision of a nurse anesthetist, which represents a higher level of care than is delivered in most hospitals for these procedures. The state of the art X-ray machine and procedure table result in patients being exposed to much lower doses of radiation during their procedure, compared to older equipment in use at hospitals. In many cases the reduction in radiation dose is as much as 80-90%. These procedures can be offered safely in an office based setting due to the incredible experience of our practitioners, which includes more than 2000 catheter based interventions performed in a hospital setting over a 10 year period.
